Please bless this unhealthy food

Please bless this food today
that it may not slow our blood
and send us to an early grave.
May the oils in which they are saturated
not send clots to our brains,
or starve our hearts of blood
and send their beats away.
May the calories of which we partake
not show up in our face
and grant us a spare tire
that can not easily be replace.
May our diets not place
our pancreases under such strain
that we develop diabetes
and must poke our selves
with needles
several times a day.
Yes, we have been taught better,
but we ask all the same:
"Please bless it to make us healthy,"
for we are so vain.
